Fr. Gardeniae Zhi Zi 9-12g Clears Heat, reduces Fire and eliminates irritability in the San Jiao.
Rz. Pinelliae Preparatum Zhi Ban Xia 9-12g Dries Dampness, transforms Phlegm, descends Rebellious Qi, stops vomiting and harmonizes the Stomach.
With Chen Pi, for epigastric and abdominal distention or pain due to disharmony of the Stomach Qi.
Per. Citri Reticulatae Chen Pi 9-12g Regulates Qi, adjusts the Middle, relieves the diaphragm, descends Qi, dries Dampness and transforms Phlegm.
With Sheng Jiang, for vomiting and hiccups due to Disharmony of the Stomach Qi.
With Sheng Jiang, Zhu Ru and Zhi Ban Xia, for nausea and vomiting due to rebellious Stomach Qi.
Fol. Eriobotryae Pi Pa Ye 12-15g Harmonizes the Stomach, clears Stomach Heat and descends Stomach Qi.
With Zhi Ban Xia, alleviates nausea and calms the Stomach.
Rz. Zingiberis Recens Sheng Jiang 6-9g Warms the Middle, stops vomiting, adjusts the Ying and Wei and normalizes the flow of Qi at the center.
With Zhi Ban Xia, for vomiting due to many causes.
With Zhu Ru and Pi Pa Ye, for vomiting due to Heat in patients with Stomach Qi Deficiency.
Fr. Jujube Da Zao 6-9g Tonifies the Spleen and Stomach, augments Qi, nourishes the Blood, calms the Spirit and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
With Sheng Jiang, alleviates epigastric pain, nausea, and vomiting by strengthening the Spleen.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 3-6g Tonifies the Spleen, augments Qi, moistens the Lungs, clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity, moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs and guides the herbs to all twelve channels.
